This Lake Superior agate is a piece of deep time carried forward by ice and water. Formed in ancient volcanic rock and later released by glaciers that once covered Minnesota and the Great Lakes region, each stone is naturally tumbled and revealed by nature itself.
Its signature beauty comes from rich, iron-stained bands—burnt reds, rust oranges, deep browns, and smoky translucence layered in intricate fortification patterns. No two are alike; each one reads like a geological map of slow mineral deposition and ancient movement.
In a curated collection, Lake Superior agate feels especially grounded and local-to-earth—less “exotic crystal,” more “found history.” It carries the energy of rivers, ice sheets, and time itself polished into stone.
