Smooth, dense, and glass-like in its depth, this carved egg of Obsidian carries the quiet intensity of volcanic origin. Formed when lava cools so rapidly that crystals cannot develop, obsidian becomes a natural glass—dark, reflective, and strikingly uniform in its surface. Polished into an egg shape, the stone becomes even more immersive—its curved surface reflecting light like a still, shadowed mirror. Depending on the angle, it appears either completely opaque or subtly reflective, like looking into a quiet, darkened surface of water. Obsidian is widely associated with grounding, protection, and energetic shielding. It is often used to absorb heavy or stagnant energy, support emotional release, and encourage honest self-reflection. Many also see it as a stone of truth—revealing what is hidden beneath surface perception. This piece feels like a contained void—calm, protective, and deeply grounding.
